PINKAS - Annual of the Culture and History of the European Jews

The goal of "Pinkas" is to present the latest research in the history and culture of the European Jews. We welcome submission of original and new articles dealing with a wide range of topics related to Jewish life in the Central and Eastern Europe: history, cultural heritage, literature, the position of Jews in state and society, sociology, demography, ethnography, everyday life and more. We are interested in inter-disciplinary and comparative research, as well as academic publications of primary sources and reviews of new publications in Jewish studies.

The articles will be published in English with comprehensive summaries. The articles and the summaries can be presented in English, Russian and Lithuanian. The editorial board is responsible for translation into English. 

Annual "Pinkas" is edited by international editorial board. Two anonymous reviewers evaluate every article.

Deadline for submission of articles is 15th of October, 2007.

Notes for the authors:

Articles of up to 40 000 characters will be considered.
Summaries should content up to 300 words.

Authors should submit their CV together with the article.
